The Scotch Malt Whisky Society‘s October Outturn Preview Tasting brings four single casks with nothing in common — and that’s exactly the point. This month we explore two of our most special series: Whisky Wanderers, born from the 2025 Scottish Whisky Festival and dedicated to unexpected flavours, and Two to One, ultra small-batch bottlings that marry two casks from the same distillery before bottling at cask strength.

Pairing the selection is chef Emilio González, founding partner of Casa Pestalozzi and a whisky enthusiast himself, with a specially crafted four-course tasting menu for the evening.

From the sea to the tropics, from a full Scottish breakfast to the deepest smoke — four drams, four culinary delights, one night.

 Verified We had an amazing time at this tasting! It ended up being just our group, which made for a fantastic, intimate experience. Our host was super personable, patient, and took the time to thoroughly explain everything. Each mezcal was paired perfectly, and we loved that we were able to stay back for a few more drinks after the official tasting ended.  Verified Caro was our guide through the tasting and she was very knowledgeable on everything mezcal-related. The event was the perfect balance of learning, alcohol tasting and fun! Caro even recommended some great bars in the city to try other mezcals, and we ended up going to Pistilo (Roma Nte) - we had such a fun time.
